Academic Exchange| Academic Exchange| Research Center for Nonwritten Cultural Materials, Institute for the Study of Japanese Folk Culture, Kanagawa University

Objective

The Center promotes the exchange of academic information, along with exchanges and affiliations with overseas research institutions, and the dispatch and appointment of scholars, in order to nurture a new cosmopolitan generation of young researchers.

In addition, projects for hosting international symposiums will be organized for the purpose of enhancing the Center’s research projects so that they may reach world-class levels.

Major Projects

Exchange of information
Information such as results and trends in the research of nonwritten cultural materials will be exchanged.
Exchange of materials
Publications from the parties concerned will be exchanged and relevant materials provided.
Exchange of researchers
1. Researchers shall be appointed to study meetings and symposiums hosted by the parties concerned.
2. Young researchers shall be dispatched and appointed, and visiting researchers shall be provided with due support from the host institution.
Collaboration in research studies
Affiliated institutions shall work together to provide support, whenever necessary, for investigative activities undertaken by any other affiliated institutions, such as by issuing letters of appointment.

Affiliated Institutions

The academic exchange program of the Center is promoting exchange and affiliation projects with overseas research institutions for the purpose of exchanging academic information on nonwritten cultural materials and to dispatch and appoint young researchers, and is currently affiliated with the following institutions. The Center has established systems for the appointment and dispatch of researchers, and promotes joint research by inviting young researchers from affiliated institutions. It is our hope that these opportunities will create the foundation for young researchers on which they may build their careers on a global scale.
